ICOBEA's Scholarship Program

ICOBEA's Scholarship Program is a prestigious initiative that recognises outstanding academic achievement and supports learners passionate about advancing their business, leadership and management skills. As an Australian Registered Training Organisation, ICOBEA Pty. Ltd. specialises in providing excellence in Business, Leadership and Management training. 

In keeping with our core value of Academic and Industry Excellence, this Scholarship rewards high-achieving learners and empowers them to join ICOBEA’s Empowered Learning environment. 

Academic scholarships have long been shown to motivate and encourage further excellence, and ICOBEA’s program is no exception – it opens opportunities for scholars to grow their capabilities and confidence in a supportive learning community.

ICOBEA’s Empowered Learning Program gives each student 24/7 support, flexible online courses, expert trainers, and a dedicated industry mentor. The Scholarship’s primary objective is to enable top-performing learners to engage fully with this program while studying one of ICOBEA’s nationally-recognised diplomas – Diploma of Business (BSB50120) or Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420). 

Scholarship recipients enjoy the same high-quality training experience as all ICOBEA learners, including personalised mentor guidance and practical, workplace-based assessments. By connecting talented learners with expert industry professionals, the Scholarship echoes a key benefit of merit programs: networking and mentorship opportunities that enhance learning and career success.

• Awards per year: Up to 5 Scholarships are awarded each year to qualifying applicants.
• Application period: The Scholarship opens on 1 January and closes on 30 June each calendar year. (Applicants must enrol in their chosen Diploma course by this deadline to be eligible.)
• Eligible courses: Applicants must enrol in either ICOBEA’s Diploma of Business (BSB50120) or Diploma of Leadership and Management (BSB50420).
• Enrolment requirement: Applicants must complete the standard enrolment process for their Diploma course and pay the $250.00 [AUD] non-refundable enrolment fee, in accordance with ICOBEA’s enrolment terms and conditions.
• LLN assessment: Applicants must achieve the highest score on the Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment among the 2027 enrolment cohort. This test is part of the entry procedure and ensures readiness for Vocational study. The Assessment Review Committee may set a minimum LLN benchmark; if no applicant meets it, scholarships may not be awarded.
• Statement of Learning Intention: Each applicant must submit an 800-word Statement of Learning Intention, explaining in their own words (AI-generated content is not permitted) how completing the chosen Diploma course through ICOBEA’s Empowered Learning Program will help them upskill their business, leadership, and management capabilities. This statement is a critical component of the application and must be the applicant’s authentic writing.

Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered. 

In particular, failure to enrol by 30 June, pay the fee, meet LLN requirements, or submit the full statement will result in disqualification from Scholarship consideration.

The Scholarship Assessment Review Committee – chaired by ICOBEA’s CEO – evaluates all complete applications. Committee members review each candidate’s academic credentials, LLN result, and Statement of Learning Intention. Successful applicants (up to five each year) will have $500.00 [AUD] credited toward their full course fees (applied as a non-refundable, non-transferable tuition credit). This award effectively reduces the cost of the diploma for the recipient, but cannot be exchanged for cash or other benefits.

The Committee reserves the right not to award any scholarships in a given year if applicants do not meet the required standards (for example, if the LLN results are below the established threshold). Only fully completed applications are forwarded to the Committee for decision. By recognising academic excellence and dedication through this financial support, the Scholarship aims to encourage recipients to continue striving for success in their studies.

Prospective applicants should follow these steps:

1. Enrol in a Diploma: Visit ICOBEA's course pages and complete the online enrolment form for either the Diploma of Business or Diploma of Leadership and Management. Be sure to pay the $250.00 [AUD] non-refundable enrolment fee and agree to all course enrolment terms and conditions by 30 September.
2. LLN Assessment: Upon enrolment, undertake ICOBEA’s LLN assessment. Aim to achieve the highest score possible, as the top-scoring applicant will be given priority for the Scholarship.
3. Prepare Your Statement: Write an 800-word Statement of Learning Intention (in your own words) describing how ICOBEA’s Empowered Learning Program will help you develop your business, leadership, and management skills. Clearly explain your goals and why this opportunity is important for your career. (Note: AI-assisted or inauthentic submissions will be disqualified.)
4. Submit the Scholarship Application: Compile your enrolment confirmation, LLN result, and the Statement of Learning Intention. Submit these by 30 June via the scholarship application form available in the enrolment portal or by emailing them to ICOBEA (see contact details below).
5. Await Notification: The Scholarship Committee will review all eligible submissions and announce the recipients. If awarded, the $500.00 scholarship will be credited to your course fees.
