In 2015, founders and directors, Dr Shane Weir, Mr Corey Rawding and Mrs Jane Winter, recognised a real need to "rethink" how training and development is delivered in contemporary business environments. After a couple of years engaging with industry to review evolving "best practice" business strategic leadership and management practices, ICOBEA Pty. Ltd. (ABN: 17 631 961 496), an Australian Private Company, commenced trading on 28 February 2019. 

ICOBEA exists to provide expert training and development consultancy advice to individuals and business enterprises, based on individual-specific and entity-specific skills in the areas of business, leadership and management. 

Based on its consultancy success, ICOBEA has expanded its capabilities to now become an Australian nationally-recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO Number: 45672), delivering nationally-accredited qualifications in Business and Leadership and Management. 

ICOBEA exhausts every available resource to engage all enterprising individuals and/or business partners to forge their own pathway for leadership, mastery and success in business and management.

Dr Shane Weir (Company Director and CEO)

DipBus, DipLdrshp&Mgt, D.DipVET/TDD, BEd(Acc/Mgt)(Hons), GradDipStrategicLdrshp, GradDipMgt(Learning), PhD, FBEAQ, AGIA.

Shane has significant experience in Accounting and Business Training and Development, with a particular focus on establishing key partnerships with stakeholders in order to promote authentic learning experiences for enterprising individuals and business partners. His industry experience in Chartered Accounting and Education enables him to successfully align academic endeavours with industry practice. Shane has completed the following qualifications:

• Doctor of Philosophy in Business Education from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT); 
• Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership; 
• Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning);
• Bachelor of Education (Accounting and Management) (First Class Honours) (QUT); 
• Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET);
• Diploma of Training Design and Development (TDD); 
• Diploma of Leadership and Management;
• Diploma of Business; and
• Certificate IV in Training and Education (TAE).

He is an Executive Committee Member for the Business Educators’ Association of Queensland (BEAQ); is an international journal article author; and has presented at international, national and Queensland State Conferences. Shane was also awarded Fellowship of the BEAQ on 22 July 2016 and was elected as an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia on 1 June 2020.

Corey Rawding (Company Director and COO)

BSc(Psyc), GradDipEd.

Corey is an experienced educator that thrives in coaching and mentoring learners to succeed in qualifications in Leadership and Management. His focus is to enable educators who want recognition for their excellence in their profession by guiding them towards achieving their goals with confidence and competence. 

Corey is a passionate member of our team and oversees the day-to-day operations and manage compliance aspects as a Registered Training Organisation across Australia. His dedication to operational efficiency and regulatory compliance ensures the seamless delivery of our training programs and the success of our clients.
